While helping nonprofit organizations secure grants and other funding, I noticed a common challenge: many leaders had strong entrepreneurial ideas but lacked the financial support to move forward with confidence.
Around that same time, I read the story of Cathy Hughes, who approached 32 lenders before finally securing funding for her business. Stories like hers reinforced something I had already begun to realize — accessing funding for a business should not feel impossible.
That realization led me to start Shelly International.
My goal is to help clients feel informed, confident, and at ease throughout the funding process. I do not encourage business owners to accept just any funding opportunity. Instead, I work to present each business in its best light to potential funders while helping clients evaluate which funding options offer the most sustainable path forward for their long-term success.
